Summary


The Senate will take another shot next week at passing a bill that would make widespread changes to the formula used to decide child support payments in Georgia.

The upper chamber failed by one vote to pass the measure, which has won the House's approval. Thursday's 28-19 vote in favor of the bill fell short of the 29 votes required for any bill to pass the 56- member Senate.
