Pupils in South Carolina's prekindergarten programs do better on standardized tests when they start school than their peers, a study by the state Education Department found.
The agency said Wednesday that participants in state prekindergarten programs scored higher than other pupils on the English and math portions of the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Test in third, fourth and fifth grades.See the full content of this document
