I had a garage door company install openers. Everything was fine until the day I didn't get the car backed into the garage quite far enough. The photoelectric cell didn't stop the door because there was nothing in its way (the car bumper was over the line-of-sight of the photocell).

I thought that garage-door openers had to have an auto-reverse if they ran into something, but the garage door forced down onto my car bumper hard enough to cause the top panel of the garage door to buckle and break the glass in that panel.
