Richard Clarke's finger-pointing in his book Against All Enemies sounds like an Orwellian script from a John Frankenheimer or Stanley Kubrick movie. No wonder the White House is agitated. Mr. Clarke has just opened up a very terrifying scenario that might expose the real power behind the Bush administration as a triumvirate of Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and his eminence grise, Paul Wolfowitz.

Could a de-facto coup d'etat have taken place the day Mr. Bush became the designated president by the Supreme Court?
