ATLANTA - The funds left over from a $142 million property tax rebate vetoed by Gov. Sonny Perdue should be given back to taxpayers in some form, a group that advocates for smaller government said Tuesday.
The Georgia chapter of Ameri-cans for Prosperity announced a petition drive, "Save the Surplus," to pressure Mr. Perdue and lawmakers to use the money for a tax cut or tax credit during the legislative session that begins in January.See the full content of this document
