Joe Fausnight is indeed right that we math-defectives should not undergo advanced math instruction ("Take commonsense education approach," Feb. 3).
I just use simple math to figure out my bank statements. Psychologists for decades have known that it is not necessary to learn advanced mathematics to train the mind. I read 11 languages. They help me. Psychologists have just recently stated that bilingualism helps the mind. I do not advocate compulsory foreign language education, however.See the full content of this document
