ATLANTA - High-pressure exams don't help students learn and might actually hurt their chances of graduating from high school, according to a study released Tuesday by a group opposed to measuring student progress through testing.

Georgia officials, while not commenting directly on the group's study, said they were confident the state's accountability system was indeed boosting academic performance.
