Columbia County is beginning to see a change in commercial development as more businesses choose to take up residence in abandoned retail locations, planning and development staff say.
"It was just as economically feasible to buy an acre of undeveloped property and develop it commercially, including putting a building on it, as it was to go into an existing building," said Tom Tully, a senior planner for the county planning and development department.See the full content of this document
