Quilters Show Their Colors at Museum

Summary


From embroidered palmetto trees, to squares that scream with color in a pattern called pointless star, to a design seen on Blue Willow dishes, quilts are anything but dull and old-fashioned at the Aiken County Historical Museum's Quilt Show of South Carolina.

"Quilts have gone from the beds to the walls," said Dee Doebler, the organizer of the quilt show and contest. "Quilts are more artistic now that people can pick and choose what they want it to look like."
