From their response, it appears that East Aiken Elementary School pupils look forward to plays about the character trait of the month.

The cafeteria was abuzz with excitement as pupils watched The Little Painter of Sabana Grande, which was staged by the fifth- grade student council to highlight this month's trait: diligence. The pupils acted out the story of a painter who would not give up until he found a canvas. With no paper in the town, he used the smooth surfaces of houses for his paintings.
