WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. - Scott Pruett was ready to hit the sack. He should sleep very well.

Pruett started last in Sunday's Nextel Cup race at Watkins Glen International and finished fourth in a car that was supposed to be driven by somebody else. He was subbing in the No. 40 Coors Lite Dodge for Sterling Marlin, who was home in Tennessee mourning the death of his father, Coo Coo, earlier in the day.
