Winabee Grace Hardy "Bee" Ward, 93, of the Villas at Magnolia Manor, Macon, died Thursday, March 24, 2005. She was the widow of the late Robert Bernard Ward, Sr. She was born January 11, 1912 in Blackstock, Fairfield County, S.C., the daughter of the late Reverend Henry Bascom Hardy and the late Mary Louise Grace Hardy. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert Bernard Ward, Sr., her parents, the Reverend Henry Bascom Hardy and Mary Louise Grace Hardy, and by her two brothers, Dr. James Thomas Hardy and Charles Bascom Hardy.

Mrs. Ward was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and the Ed Cook Sunday School Class in Macon and was a former member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church in Augusta. She began her career as a teacher in South Carolina after her graduation from Winthrop College in 1933. She taught in the public schools in Augusta for 25 years and started the first private kindergarten in the Fleming community of Augusta. She was a devoted wife to her husband the late Robert Bernard Ward and a very loving and generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dearly loved and treasured by them all.
