Summary
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Dobbins Long, 86, of Robin Road, North Augusta, who died October 12, 2005, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Grace United Methodist Church, Dr. James C. Adams and Dr. T. Joseph Lusk officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Long was a native of Rutherford County, N.C., having made North Augusta her home for the past 49 years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church having served as a Sunday School Teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother, Vice-President of the Matthews Bible Class and sang with the Grace Notes and the Cream of the Crop Chorus. She was a member of the Golden Glow Chapter #76 of the Order of the Eastern Star where she had served as the Worthy Matron and most recently as Chaplain. Mrs. Long had served in many Order of the Eastern Star state positions including Grand Electa, Grand Representative to Canada in 1991, Charter Member and Past President of the Past Matrons Club, Charter Member and Grand Representative of the Pago Club. She was retired from the Sperry and Hutchinson Company following 20 years of service as Assistant Manager. Mrs. Long was the wife of the late Mr. Charles B.
