A native of Avera, GA, he was a son of the late Joseph Evans Poole and Clyde Williams Poole, and had lived in Augusta for the last 49 years. Mr. Poole retired from Sweetheart Cup Company after 37 years of service and was an active member of the New Hope Worship Center, where he was a member of the Sanctuary Choir.
