Mr. J. Lester Simons, age 79, entered into rest Sunday, March 7 at University Hospital. Mr. Simons was the beloved husband of Margaret Hulsey Simons. He was from Jefferson county but had lived in the Augusta area since 1958. Mr. Simons had retired from Liquid Air as a Plant Operator and was currently employed with Budget Rental Car and was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Sons Lumpkin Road Chapel with Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
