Ernest Fox, 96, of Batesburg, died Monday, January 10, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in church cemetery with Rev. Dr. William Paulling and Rev. Kyle Harmon officiating. Pallbearers will be Carson L. Fox, Austin H. Fox, Hubert Fox, Robert Fox, Cliff Kneece and Dr. Robert M. Shakar.
Mr. Fox was born in Batesburg, SC to the late Watson and Lizzie Johnson Fox. He was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, Adult Men's Sunday School Class. He sung in the choir until he was 92 years old. He was a farmer and carpenter. He helped build the Savannah River Site.
