Survivors are his devoted wife, Mary Crawford Smalley; two devoted daughters, Arnita (Earnest) Quiller, North Augusta, S.C., Phyllis (Shellie) Cain, Augusta; two sons, Edward (Shirley) Smalley III, Anthony (Queen) Smalley, Augusta; three sisters, Vivian (Willie) Ridley, Country Club Hill, Ill., Gaynell S. Bonner, Rose (Samuel) Willingam, Augusta; six brothers, Lunie Smalley, Wilson Smalley, David (Elaine) Smalley, Ronnie (Regina) Smalley, Reginald (Olivia) Smalley, Augusta, Moses (Elaine) Smalley, Lithonia; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; devoted aunt, Mary L. Green Jackson,, Augusta; uncle, Juriah Jennings, Augusta; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; godchild, Demetrice Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
