Columnist Sheryl McCarthy misunderstands Martha Stewart's remarks about her prison sentence being "shameful" ("For Martha Stewart, humility is never in fashion," July 20).
Instead of directly accusing others of persecuting her, as she's done before, Martha exuded ambiguity, probably intentionally.
