Mr. Lonnie "Lon" Durden, 88, of Langley, SC, beloved husband of sixty-five years to Catherine Tinsley Durden and son of the late John and Melissa Hutchinson Durden, died Thursday, November 19th, 2009.

Born in Adrian, GA, he had lived in Aiken County, SC, most of his life where he retired from Claussen Concrete where he was a Truck Driver. As a young man, he was with the CCC Camp. A World War II veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and prior to his health declining, he enjoyed going to Langley Pond. Lon always put the needs of others over his and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
