AIKEN - Toyota Motor Corp. is investing $1 million in Savannah River National Laboratory to conduct hydrogen research, officials announced Thursday.
The company and the auto industry in general are interested in harnessing hydrogen power to replace gasoline-burning engines. By joining with the national laboratory, Toyota has tapped into Savannah River Site's decades of experience with tritium, a radioactive form of hydrogen.See the full content of this document
