Summary
Tom Zwemer's letter to the editor ("Can immigration mess be solved?" June 30) was a classic example of how, to the "liberal" mind, there is only one degree of separation from any problem anywhere in the world today and blaming President Bush. Since both the Senate and the House have a Democrat majority, it should have been a piece of cake. Only one problem: Only 22 percent of the American population want amnesty for illegal immigrants. So the people spoke, and the Democrats could not get a majority vote, even with Sen. Lindsey Grahamnesty and other Republican defections. Thank God!See the full content of this document
