Summary
It is not hard to agree with Harry Sellers' letter "Property assessment is a swindle" (June 14). I was mugged by a 58 percent increase. The assessor office's answer seems to be that property values were not increased sufficiently in recent years to comply with state law. But property owners should not have to suffer for the failures in the assessor's office with such ruinous increases.
