Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a former Hyster Driver with Avondale Mills. Glen attended Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church where he had twenty-one years of perfect attendance in Sunday School. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Town Creek Anglers. He loved wrestling and was very active in the VRA with Little League Baseball.
