Lee Poe's interest in camellias blossomed when he was a young boy while helping his father raise the ornamental flowers that surrounded their home.
Since then, the hobby has bloomed into somewhat of a science for the retired chemical engineer, who grows as many as 400 varieties of camellia plants in his back yard.
