Summary
I've been following the race for South Carolina lieutenant governor with great interest. While I think all of the candidates have some merit, it's clear to me that Dr. Henry Jordan is the best choice in the upcoming Republican primary.
The only reasonable way to look at this race is to see the lieutenant governor as an understudy to the governor. Which one of the three Republican candidates could most plausibly assume the governorship if the need arose? It's not merely a question of who will or will not back the governor's agenda.
