Summary
The war in Iraq is solely the fault of Saddam Hussein. His failure to completely and fully comply with the United Nations peace treaty he signed in 1991 doomed him and his country to another war.
However, if the United Nations had originally authorized the coalition forces in 1991 to capture Saddam and free Iraq from his despotic rule, then the matter would have been settled sooner with less bloodshed. Numerically, the coalition forces had superior land, air and sea forces to oust Saddam and quickly establish a new form of government. No other war would have been necessary - we would not be there today, except possibly as part of a U.N. coalition peacekeeping force.See the full content of this document
