How quickly you lurch to the defense of your politically chosen. I can't recall a similar introspective statement of caution when Charles Walker bobbed to the surface last year. Sen. Walker was greeted by frantic sharpening of knives and journalistic indictment from every faceless editor on your staff. But what do those troublesome Democrats deserve, anyhow?
