Not enough properly trained workers and substandard infrastructure might be hurting the state's ability to attract new industries, according to some South Carolina Chamber of Commerce officials.

"We really need to invest in our infrastructure," said Darrell Scott, the chamber's state governmental relations manager at a grassroots meeting Tuesday in North Augusta.
