Summary
Some of the ultraconservative, Democrat-bashing articles in The Augusta Chronicle make me wonder whether the writers were exposed to lead poisoning. The column by Cal Thomas ("Who really won last week," Nov. 15) is one such. While even the president heard and accepted the "voters' message," Mr. Thomas finds it difficult to accept the truth.
Terrorists from all over the world did not come and vote for the Democrats. The Republican election fund was several million dollars more than that of the Democrats. They had the money and the means. The president, first lady, Vice President Dick Cheney et al, barnstormed, criss-crossing the nation at taxpayers' expense, campaigning for losers such as Max Burns, implying that voting for Democrats is voting for terrorists. Other than the "evil" Democrats, most independents and even many Republicans - who could see through the administration's lies, the war of choice, fiscal irresponsibility etc. - and those who lost their family members in the quagmire war - voted for the Democrats.See the full content of this document
