Miss Buchwitz is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell W. Self, Sr. of Waynesboro and Ms. Sandra Shell and the late Mr. Tommy Tucker of Hephzibah. She is a 2003 graduate of Hephzibah High School and a 2006 graduate of the Practical Nursing Program at Augusta Technical College, with an Associate of Applied Science in Health.
