WAYCROSS, Ga. - Winds are expected to shift to the south overnight, testing fire breaks plowed to protect Waycross from the 56,000-acre Sweat Farm Road Fire.

The southerly winds will push more smoke into Waycross and the Manor community over the next two days, said Byron Haire, a fire information officer for the Georgia Forestry Commission.
