The Columbia County Renaissance Festival and other outdoor events planned at the Evans amphitheater and memorial gardens will be without permanent thrones for a little longer than expected.

Sandy Boner, the county's Community Centers Depart-ment manager, said the new restroom and concession facility at the Columbia County Amphitheater and Memorial Gardens won't be ready for use until early November. Last month, county officials said they planned for the building to be ready by the beginning of October, which would be in time for the Renaissance Festival on Oct. 14.
