Summary
The nation paused Thursday, May 3, to pray for America, her families, communities and governmental agencies. I do not know of any other national, state, or local observance that is more consistent with the philosophical foundations of America (even during its colonial existence) than the occasion to petition for God's blessings.
As a youngster, I recall hearing a song by this very old man as he slowly made his way to the altar: "If we ever needed de Lawd befo' we sho' do need him now; we need him every day and every hour."See the full content of this document
