Mrs. Ossie O. Hartfield of Sullivan-Hartfield Road entered into rest Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Doctors Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Sandra Gunter Gantt, 61, widow of Woodrow Wilson Gantt, died Wednesday, August 01, 2007. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Gantt was a daughter of the late Clinton Lee Gunter and Jamie Seigler Gunter Owens. She retired from Avondale Mills after 40 years, and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Thomas L. Story, Jr., 57, died Thursday, July 26, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA, with Edward Dunn officiating. Afterward, visitors will be received at the home of his nephew, Roger Peloquin, 5980 Harlem-Grovetown Road, Harlem, Georgia.

Mrs. Linda Swann Newsome Smith, age 52, wife of Mr. James Monroe Smith, of Matthews St., died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. today, August 3, 2007 at the Waldens United Methodist Church, Avera, Ga.
Emma Lee Harp Coleman, 84, died on July 28, 2007. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Pine Pleasant CME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 o'clock.
Lurlene Kent Davis, widow of Clyde E. Davis of Charleston, SC, went to be with her Saviour on the evening of July 31, 2007. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Saturday, August 4, 2007 at eleven o'clock at the graveside in Elam Cemetery, Millen, GA. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel Thursday between five and seven o'clock and Friday, August 3rd between six and eight o'clock at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home, Millen, GA.
Mrs. Daisy Hall Dunn, 98, of Williston Road, entered into rest August 1, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Hazel Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. H.T. Legons officiating. Interment will be in the Dunn Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Pauline Barbara Pangborn, age 89, of Augusta, entered into rest Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at University Hospital. Mrs. Pangborn was a native of Cambridge, Massachusetts. She had lived in Augusta since 1956 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Pangborn was of the catholic faith.
Mr. Willie Raymond Cooper Retired Engineer
Mr. Willie Raymond (Buddy) Cooper, 54, of Golden Acres Dr., Stockbridge, Ga., entered into rest August 1, 2007 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Cooper was a native of McDuffie County. He was a retired engineer from the Army Air Force Exchange Service. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Moose Lodge of McDonough, the American Legion of Highfalls Post #303 and was a Baptist by faith.

Brother Larry Charlie Jones, 67 years of age and a resident of 302 Minter Avenue, Bath, S.C., peacefully entered into his New Beginning on Monday, July 30, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center, Downtown Division, Augusta, Ga. The Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 4063 Aiken-Augusta Hwy., Clearwater, S.C., with Brother Ricky Williams officiating.
Mr. Emil Anthony Cicchetto entered into rest Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at his residence, the widower of the late Mrs. Dorothy Lubisher Cicchetto. Survivors are one son, Frank Cicchetto and daughter-in-law, Debby of Beech Island, S.C.
Mr. Clifford Malcolm Bales Jr., of Martinez, died on Tuesday, July 31 2007 at Doctors Hospital. He was 67 years old. The family received friends at The Poteet Funeral Home, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, 706-860-0009, on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
