Augusta Chronicle, The
Robert "Robbie" S. Black, age 28, son of the late Robert and Jerry Carter Black, passed away on April 11, 2007. He is survived by his grandmother, Betty Carter Tant, Augusta; and numerous other family and friends.
Mrs. Eloise Mitchell Robinson, age 78, died on April 26, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Simpson United Methodist Church with burial in Allen Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Genelda McClain, age 64, died Monday April 30, 2007 in the Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May 2, 2007 in the Thomson First Baptist Church.
The funeral service for Mr. Sammie Huff, of Warrenville, S.C., will be conducted today, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Warrenville First Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Carter and Rev. Arthur Zawislak officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. Mr. Ulysses Grant Jones, Jr., of Cornell Drive, entered into rest Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Heartland Hospice. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Robert Anthony Love, Jr., of Woodedge Dr., died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia. Mr. Love was native of Augusta and attended T. W. Josey High School, where he was a member of the Marching Band.
Mr. Lee Oliphant, Jr., 76, of Maywood, Ill., entered into rest on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Wrens Chapel A.M.E. Church, Wrens, Ga., with Rev. Samuel Thompkins officiating. Burial will be at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Wrens, Ga.
Mrs. Mary Lou Crenshaw Gault, 87, entered into rest on Monday April 30, 2007. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Gault. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Elliott Sons Lumpkin Road Chapel with Reverend Jim Hyder officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hogan, Andy Hogan, Jon Hogan, Wayne Masters, Ray Crenshaw, Paul Crenshaw, Rodney Crenshaw and Chuck Ford.
Funeral services for Mr. Archie Ellis Boyd will be held Tuesday, afternoon, May 1, 2007, at 3 o'clock at Hollow Creek Baptist Church, Aiken, S.C. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. SFC James C. Galvin, U.S. Army Retired, 79, entered into rest Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia. SFC Galvin was a native of Boston, MA and has resided in Augusta for the past 43 years. He was retired from the US Army after 21 years, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Patrick Walsh #677 and a member of St. Mary on-the-Hill Catholic Church.

SFC Harry Morgan Conn, Jr., U.S. Army, Ret., entered into rest Friday, April 27, 2007 in Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, Ga., the widower of the late Mrs. Gladys Everette Conn. Family members are one son, Rick Conn, Snellville, Ga.; two daughters, Virginia Corradino, Evans, Ga. and Rose Bass, Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Roy Conn, Mississippi; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Leonard "Pete" Johnson, 88, of Warner Robins, formerly of Washington, died April 28, 2007. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Grace L. Badger, age 93, wife of the late Walter L. Badger, entered into rest at her residence on April 30, 2007. A graveside service will be held today, May 1, 2007 in Westover Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Kathy Lamon officiating.
Mr. Phillip Jones, Jr., age 41, died Sunday, April 29, 2007. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
Graveside funeral services for Ms. Iris Jeannette Smith, age 92, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westview Cemetery. She passed away Monday, April 30, 2007, following an extended illness. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Ms. Nettie Johnson, age 93, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Stanley Funeral Home with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. She passed away Sunday morning, April 29, 2007, at her residence following an extended illness. Stanley Funeral Home of Wrightsville has charge of the arrangements.

Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
