Helene Brown "Butch" Armour, 86, of Aiken, beloved wife of Charles Maynard Armour, Sr., died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at her residence. A native of Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY, Mrs. Armour was a daughter of the late Paul Russell and Estelle Harvey Brown. She had lived in Aiken since 1955. She began the Aiken Newcomers Club in 1972 and continued for 25 years, until 1997. She was a member of All Saint's Anglican Church and a member of Houndslake Country Club.

Born in Burke County, Georgia on January 22, 1928 to the late Hampton Wesley Bargeron and Marie Taylor Bargeron, he had lived in this area all of his life.
