Dewell "Red" Keen entered into rest Friday, January 26, 2007 at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Juanita Williams Keen and sons: Ed and Bruce Keen. Dewell was born in Dublin, GA to Dewell E. Keen Sr. and Eddie Kight Keen. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, and served in the Pacific abroad the USS Vestal AR-4 and the USS Kermit Roosevelt AAG-16. Entered into rest on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Westwood Nursing Home, Mr. Robert Sterling Lovett, 84, of Jackson, SC. Mr. Lovett was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Marie Lovett. Mr. Lovett was a native of Wrightsville, GA and had lived in Jackson, SC for the past 44 years. He was an Engineer and retired from E.I DuPont. Mr. Lovett served his country for three years in the U.S. Army Air corps. He was of the Methodist faith.
The Funeral Mass and Prayer Vigil for Mr. Tommy Sherlock will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m., this evening at St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Peter Clarke celebrant. David L. Rhodes, age 60, of Augusta entered into rest Sunday, January 28, 2007 at his home. Born in Aiken, SC and a lifelong resident of the Augusta area, he was a son of the late John Edward Rhodes and Thelma Inez Brown Rhodes. Mr. Rhodes was a retired employee of Advanced Glassfiber Yarns. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

Entered into rest on Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital, Mrs. Martha R. McCollum, beloved wife of Charles C. McCollum, Jr. of Augusta. Mrs. McCollum was a native of Hartwell, GA and had lived in Augusta for the past 67 years. She retired from the Richmond County School System after 37 years of service. Mrs. McCollum was a past President of the Quota Club, a member of The Retired Teachers Association, Alpha Alpha Kappa and First Association Reformed Presbyterian Church.
