Mrs. Lois C. Jones, 86, beloved wife of the late Rufus L. Jones, formerly of Hampton Terrace, entered into rest Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2006 in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry T. Matthew and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lillian Powell Sharpe, age 73, wife of the late Bobby Sharpe, entered into rest on Wednesday January 31, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 3, 2006, at the Belair Rd. Chapel of Platt's Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Brenda B. Taylor, 49, of Cobb Road, died Friday, January 27, 2006 in an Atlanta hospital. Survivors include parents, Mr. Arthur Bell, Sr. and Mrs. Eula Mae Bell of Sparta; a daughter, Takita S. Bell of Milledgeville, GA; a grandson, Brandon Maycock; nine sisters and brothers, Mamie Franklin, Geraldine Robbins, Dorothy Nixon, Mary Watkins, Bobby Smith, Arthur Bell, Linda Robbins, Gwendolyn Fluelen and Rickey Bell; three aunts, Bessie Jackson, Maria Culver and Rosa Mae Grier and two uncles...
Mrs. Ruth E. Williams Miles, 80, died January 31, 2006. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. from the Zion Fair Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Jessamine Memorial Gardens.
Carrie Mae Crawford, 93, of Johnston/Batesburg died Wednesday, February 1, 2006. A funeral service conducted by Rev. Lowell Clark will be held in the Chapel at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, 115 N. Pine St., Batesburg- Leesville at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 3rd, with visitation thirty minutes before service. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, S.C.
Mr. Alfred "Al" Herbert, age 74, of Main Hwy., entered into rest February 1, 2006, at his home after a brief illness. He was born December 29, 1931, in Bamberg to the late John Eidson and Mary Lee Grimes Herbert. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Clemson University.
Mrs. Mamie Lou "Connie" Carroll, of The Oaks Apartment, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, S.C. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006, at Overbrook Cemetery, McCormick, with the Rev. Ryan Matheny and Mr. Charlie Willis officiating.

Mrs. Nancy Brooks Harmon, 85, of Thurman Road, entered into rest January 31, 2006, at University Hospital. Mrs. Harmon, a native of McCormick County, was a member of Laura Grove Baptist Church.
