Mr. Addison "Black Eye" Coleman, 59, of Celeste Avenue entered into rest October 2, 2006 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mrs. Alice S. Gaylor

Mrs. Alice S. Gaylor, age 80, beloved wife of Mr. Bradford Gaylor, entered into rest on Monday evening, October 2, 2006, at Doctor's Hospital. A native of Cooperstown, NY, she had resided in the Augusta area since 1998, moving to Morningside Assisted Living of Evans in 2005. Mrs. Gaylor had worked as an Operator for the New York Telephone Co., where she retired after 30 years of service. Since moving to Augusta, she had become affiliated and active in the Martinez Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ethel H. Paschal

Memorial services for Mrs. Ethel H. Paschal, 96, a resident of Thomson Manor Nursing Home, will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomson Funeral System Chapel with Rev. Roscoe Perry officiating. Thomson Funeral System, Thomson, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Edgar Gray Swingle, II, 77, of Aiken, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Reverend Charlotte Waldrop will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Randal L. Avret, beloved husband of Betty Mills Avret, entered into rest at DDEAMC, Ft. Gordon, Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Mr. Avret served with the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Mrs. Ruby Jenkins Hughes, 93, of Falls Church, VA, and formerly of Valdosta, GA, passed away on September 30, 2006 at the Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA from complications due to pneumonia. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, today, at 1:00 P.M. in Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro, GA, with the Reverend Sue Diebolt officiating.

Mr. Louis Silverman, age 86, of Augusta, entered into rest on Monday, October 2, 2006 at University Hospital. A native of Queens, NY, he had resided in Augusta since 1975. Mr. Silverman had retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant and was a member of the Adas Yeshuran Synagogue.

Ms. Marie Reynolds, 93, of Highway 22, Sparta, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 in a Sparta health care facility. Services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Baptist church in Sparta.
