Entered into rest Friday, September 29, 2006, Dinh "Daniel" Ngoc Nguyen, 15. Daniel was a native and life long resident of Hephzibah. He was a Sophomore at Hephzibah High School where he was a member of the Japanese Club and also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Floyd Gresham of Washington, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at his residence. His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Hilliard Station Baptist Church with Rev. D. Foster Officiating & Pastor. Interment will be at City West Cemetery.
Mr. Robert Baird Construction Worker
Mr. Robert "Bob" S. Baird, 74, entered into rest Sunday, October 1, 2006 in the V.A. Hospital. He was the widower of the late Mrs. Wandah Stewart Baird. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens on Aiken-Augusta Hwy with Rev. Dewain French officiating. Family and friends will meet at the grave.
Entered into rest Saturday, September 30, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital, Mr. John Vickery May, 54, was the son of the late John & Betty May. He was the brother of the late Patricia Coltolina. Mr. Smith a native of Augusta, was a Presbyterian, and an Actor with the Augusta Actors.
Mrs. Ollie Mae Courtney Woodward, 77, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Reverend Tony Rhodes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Clara Morgan Blaylock, 86, entered into rest October 2, 2006 at Anne Maria Rehab. and Nursing Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Jack D. Rosser, 79, husband of Mrs. Florence Rosser of Mt. Vernon Dr. entered into rest Sunday, October 1, 2006 in the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gordon Robinson and Reverend Dan Prosser officiating, interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mafelda Bradford Arnett, 81, of 3853 Chamberlain's Ferry Road, widow of William Arnett, died Monday at McDuffie Regional Medical Center in Thomson, Georgia. Born in Lincolnton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Gordon T. Bradford and the late Pauline D. Bradford.
Entered into rest October 2, 2006 at Windermere Nursing Home, Mrs. Claudia W. Johnson, 85. Mrs. Johnson, a native of Alahua, Florida, lived most of her life in Augusta. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. She was a Cafeteria Manager for Greyhound Bus Depot.
Entered into rest Saturday, morning, September 30, 2006 at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Mrs. Joyce Jones Facteau, 65, affectionately known as "Ma Jo", of Warrenville SC, wife of Mr. Gerald Francis Facteau. Funeral services will be held this morning, at 11 o'clock at Bath First Baptist Church, Bath, S.C., with Pastor Herb Sons officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, S.C.
Ms. Robertson, 70, of Charlotte, NC, died Sunday, October 1, 2006. Her memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, at Christ Lutheran Church in Charlotte, with the Reverend Dr. Scott Suskovic officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Ms. Carolyn Adelaide King Leboff West, age 63, entered into rest at the home of her son on Sunday October 1, 2006. The funeral service is to be held at Platt's Funeral Home Chapel, 337 N. Belair Road Evans GA, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006, with Rev. Larry Bullard officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ruby Jenkins Hughes, 93, of Falls Church, VA, and formerly of Valdosta, GA, passed away on September 30, 2006 at the Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA from complications due to pneumonia. Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fulton and Beulah Lee Skinner Jenkins; two sisters, Clyde Jenkins Chance and Myrtle Jenkins Mills; and one brother, Robert (Robbie) F. Jenkins, Jr.
Mr. Michael L. Harrell, 59, husband of Patricia "Pat" Harrell, entered into rest on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection with Rev. David Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Edd Stark Bradford, Jr. age 78, passed away at Doctors Hospital on Saturday September 30, 2006. A memorial service will be held today ,Tuesday October 3, 2006, in the Platt's Funeral Home Chapel, at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Mrs. Lucille U. Houchens Retired, Richmond County Board of Education
Entered into rest at her residence on Sunday, October 1, 2006, Mrs. Lucille U. Houchens, 83, wife of the late Willie Bick Houchens. Mrs. Houchens was a native of Ellington, SC and lived all of her life in Augusta. She retired after 30 years of service as a Records Clerk with the Richmond County Board of Education. Mrs. Houchens was a member of Grace Fellowship where she was a teacher in the Senior Citizens Sunday School Class.
Lee "Annie" Roberson Davis, 84, died Saturday at her daughter's residence in Brunswick, Ga. following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 3, 2006, at the Raulerson Cemetery in Pierce County with the Rev. Larry Altman officiating. Survived by four daughters, one son, one sister, and various other relatives. Chambless-Frye Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
