Sam T. Davis, III, 54, died unexpectedly Monday, June 27, 2005 in Munich, Germany. He was doing what he loved the best, travelling in Europe and holding his wife's hand. Sam was born January 6, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tenn., and moved with his parents, Sam and Alice Davis, to Augusta in 1953.
Mr. Wayne Lee Rodgers, Jr., 34, husband of Michelle Miller Rodgers, of Crystal Springs Road, entered into rest Monday, June 27, 2005. The family will receive friends at Rowland Funeral Home Saturday, July 2, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services and interment will be private.
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret J. Curry, age 73, of Rosemont Lane, will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at The Second Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Rev. Alexander Ingram, Pastor, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Entered into rest Monday, June 27, 2005 at Augusta Hills Nursing Home, Mr. Alfred Melvin (Beanie) Garnett. A native of Augusta, he was son of the late Mable Garnett of Appling. He worked at Mulherin Lumber Company for 13 years.
Margaret Cadle Ferguson, 81, entered into rest Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, Al Ferguson.

Tony E. Lowe, age 43, of Martinez, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, June 29, 2005 at University Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of the Augusta area, he had worked at various places over the years including: Fairway Ford, Widener Firearms and Park West Dialysis Center. Funeral services for Mr. Paul Keith Sweeney, Sr., husband of Mrs. Helen E. Sweeney, will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Deanna Timmerman; two sons, Paul Sweeney, Jr. and Michael Sweeney; a brother, Clyde Sweeney; a sister, Leah Muldoon; five grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Mr. Rodney Devon Allen, age 24, of Forest Circle, entered into rest Sunday, June 26, 2005 in San Diego, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Allendale-Fairfax High School. Interment will be in Beautiful Gate Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Willie Bell Wadley, Yorker Land, Sandersville, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center, Sandersville. Mr. Clifford Reaves, 93, died June 26, 2005. He is survived by seven children, Merelyn Brown, Annie L. Blakley of Atlanta, Kenneth Reaves, Sr. and Lannie Lewis of Sparta, Clifford Seniors of New Haven, Conn., Debra Woodson of New York, Doris Burton of Sparta; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great- grandchild.
