Entered into rest Friday, September 3, 2004 at the Medical College of Georgia. Mr. Richard "Rick" Harris of Kindling Drive. Funeral services will be conducted today, Thursday, September 9, 2004 at noon from Word Alive Outreach Ministries with Pastor Robert Turner officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. The funeral procession will leave the residence of his parents at 11:15 a.m.

Mr. Forest W. Connelly

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Forest William "Bill" Connelly, of Augusta, died peacefully at home on Monday, September 6, 2004, following a long illness. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 10, 2004, at 11 a.m., at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Varner officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors in Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry, S.C., at 2:30 p.m.

Curtis P. Nixon of Peabody Apts., died Saturday,. Funeral services will be held today at 5 p.m. at the Graveside in Southview Cemetery, Rev. Willie Rivers officiating. The funeral procession will leave 738 Hopkins St. at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Ralphine Powers Retired Thomson Company

Mrs. Ralphine Lunceford Powers, age 82, widow of Mr. Foster Clay Powers of Thomson died Sunday, September 5, 2004 in the Thomson Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the Thomson First Baptist Church, with Jim Ramsey officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael McTier, Mike Levesque, Fred Tuten, Mike Lloyd, Franklin Jones and Dewayne Poss. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the Wisteria Cemetery in Union Point, Georgia.

Mr. Maurice Brown Retired Law Enforcement (Deputy)

Mr. Maurice Brown, 76, of Ware McLendon Rd., died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Fincher and Rev. Roy Cates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 7-9 p.m. at Hopkins Funeral Home.

Mr. Willie Brooks, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Willie James Brooks, Jr., will be held Friday, September 10, 2004 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Saluda with burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be at Davis Funeral Home, Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Mrs. Peggy Mcarthur Homemaker

Mrs. Peggy McArthur, 71, beloved wife Mr. J. T. "Mac" McArthur, of Richards Road, Augusta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 6, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. McArthur was a generous grandmother who loved her grandchildren and giving a helping hand to those in need. She loved Southern Gospel music.
