Mrs. Evelyn Austin, 70, beloved wife of Walter R. Austin, entered into rest March 1, 2004, at University Hospital. Other family members include her daughter, Susan H. Watson of Tampa, Fla. and three grandchildren, Melissa Smith of North Augusta, Rebecca Smith-Watson and Harris O'Keith Watson, both of Tampa, Fla.
Idell Croft Creech, 91, widow of Ernell Creech died Tuesday in the Barnwell County Hospital. Born in Barnwell County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Mattie Croft. She was first married to the late Herman Zissette. She was a homemaker and a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Deacon Marion Drayton, Sr., died Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the John E. Harter Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004 at St. Mark Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Michael Barkeloo ; Civil Service/ Retired Military
Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on March 2, 2004, Mr. Michael W. Barkeloo, husband of Mrs. Judy Miles Barkeloo, Martinez. Mr. Barkeloo was retired from the United States Army and worked at Fort Gordon under civil service. He had lived in the area for 17 years. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Dorsey and his father, Mr. Charles Barkeloo.
Mr. Robert W. Mayo Sr., 69, he is gone to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Ruth S. Mayo, of 50 years, died Monday, March 1, 2004, in Doctors Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 4, 2004, in Westview Cemetery with the Revs. Dan White and Mark Taylor officiating.
