Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2004, at the Starling Funeral Home, Harlem, with the Rev. Sue Meehanofficiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Thomson.

Mrs. Corie Long Schumate, 80, of 8807 Moonlight Forest, Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Schumate, was a former resident of 524 Kelly Acres Lane, Aiken, S.C.

Mrs. Ida Ellis

Mrs. Ida Ellis of Windsor Spring Road entered into rest Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alice Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Ben Hill City Cemetery, Social Circle, Ga. Entered into rest Thursday, February 19, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, Mrs. Ethel Gilbert of Allen St. Mrs. Gilbert was a native of Edgefield, S.C. but made her home in Augusta. She was a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Hephzibah, Ga. of which Rev. Jerry Smith is pastor. Mr. Albert Badger

Mr. Albert Badger, died Sunday, February 15, 2004. Funeral services will be noon, Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Mount Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in Old Doe Pond Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Eve M. James; one son, Linard Kinard; six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Cave Funeral Services Inc.

Mrs. Lois Roach

Mrs. Lois Haag Roach, widow of Francis (Frank) Roach, died Friday, February 20, 2004, at Westwood Nursing Facility in Evans, after a short illness. She was a native of Geneva, N.Y., but lived in Augusta for many years. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Sandhill Cemetery in Geneva, N.Y.

Mr. Roger Mccoy

Graveside services for Mr. Roger McCoy, 72, of Ponderosa Court, Augusta, Georgia, who died February 19, 2004 will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Westover Memorial Park. Pastor Don Rehner officiating. Mr. McCoy was a native of Augusta and son of the late John Edgar and Nan Lee McCoy. He was a Lutheran, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a retired furniture salesman.

Ms. Dorothy White Retired Beautician

Ms. Dorothy Mae White, 81, of 405 South Boundary Avenue, New Ellenton, S.C., died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, S.C. The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Beech Island, S.C. with Rev. C.W. Phinizy officiating. The burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Jones

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Mae Key Jones will be held at 1 p.m., today, Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathaniel Langford officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until the hour of services. Family and friends will assemble at the residence of 167 Gilgal Road at 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Huey Walker ; Time Transportation Employee

Mr. Huey James Walker, 60, beloved husband of 35 years of Mrs. Jeanette Zellars Walker, entered into rest on Friday, February 13, 2004, at the residence as a result of lung cancer. In keeping with Mr. Walker's wishes his body has been donated to Medical Science.

Deacon Willie Lee Huff died on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at his residence in Sandersville. Funeral will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Old Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
