Funeral services for Clayton Reid and Madelyn Paige Carraway will be held Monday, November 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. from the graveside in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, S.C., with Pastor Richard Swift and Pastor Phillip Lee officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Clayton Reid Carraway, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 and Madelyn Paige Carraway, died Monday, October 25, 2004 at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga.

MARTINEZ, Ga. - Elsie Pauline Kinney entered peacefully into rest Tuesday afternoon October 12, at ElmCroft-Martinez assisted-living home. She was 95 years old. Elsie moved to Augusta with her parents from Oconee County, Ga. when she was in her mid-teens. As soon as she was eligible for employment she was hired by Southern Bell Telephone Company (now BellSouth) as a switchboard operator. Mr. Robert L. Mims, Sr., 76, husband of Mary E. Mims entered into rest Thursday, October 28, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Mims was a native of Hephzibah, the son of the late Fred H. and Nellie Ray Mims, Sr. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a retired Insurance Agent with Interstate Life and Accident Insurance Company and was also in the Real Estate Business. He was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church where he attended the Ambassador Sunday School Class.

Mary H. Samples, (Judy) age 60, of Gainsville, Florida, passed peacefully away on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Samples was born in Augusta, Ga. She lived in and graduated from High School in North Augusta, S.C. She moved to the Gainsville area in 1965 from Chesterfield, Va. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing clothing for her children and other crafts. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Gainsville.
